Does Villioti Fashion Institute offer Online Learning?

Villioti Fashion Institute is registered as a Contact Learning Institute.

 

Does Villioti Fashion Institute offer Part Time Learning?

Villioti Fashion Institute does offer Part Time Learning which means you will complete your Qualification over a longer period of time. You will still be required to be in class between 08:00am to 17:00pm on certain days according to the time table.

 

How long are the programmes at Villioti Fashion Institute?

Diploma in Fashion and Bachelor of Fashion:

Full Time – 03 Years

Part Time – 04 Years

 

Higher Certificate in Fashion:

Full Time – 01 Year

Part Time – 02 to 03 Years

 

When can I start studying at Villioti Fashion Institute?

We have two intakes a year which are in February and July.

 

What are the requirements to study at Villioti Fashion Institute?

Higher Certificate in Fashion

Eligibility for admission to the Institute’s 1-year full time Higher Certificate requires a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or its same/similar standard – with endorsement – with a minimum of 30% in English.

Diploma in Fashion

Eligibility for admission to the Institute’s 3-year full time diploma requires a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)or its same/similar standard – with endorsement – with a minimum of 30% in English, together with an achievement rating of 3 (40-49%) or better in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects.

Bachelor of Fashion

The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) (or its same/similar standard, e.g. Senior Certificate with endorsement) with a minimum of 30% in English, together with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, i.e. 50%-59%) or better in four subjects from the designated subject list; Accounting, Agricultural Science, Business Studies, Dramatic Arts, Economics, Engineering Graphics and Design, Geography, History, Consumer Studies, Information Technology, Languages, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, Music, Physical Science, Religion Studies, Visual Arts.

 

Are Villioti Fashion Institutes programmes internationally recognized?

The Villioti Fashion Institute is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training which is internationally recognized. International affiliations with Parsons (NY), FIT (NY) and London College of Fashion enable us to internationally benchmark our courses to ensure international alignment.

 

What Qualifications does Villioti Fashion Institute offer and how long are they?

Villioti Fashion Institute currently offers three Full Time Qualifications.

The Higher Certificate in Fashion is a NQF 5 Qualification and is a minimum of 01 Year Full Time study. The Diploma in Fashion is a NQF 6 Qualification and is a minimum of 03 Years Full Time study. The Bachelor of Fashion is a NQF7 Qualification and is a minimum of 03 Years Full Time study.

 

What is the Entrance Evaluation?

We evaluate if you are the right fit for Villioti Fashion Institute. It also helps us to guide you when choosing between the Bachelor of Fashion, Diploma in Fashion or Higher Certificate in Fashion.

The Entrance Evaluation can be completed at home and brought in on the day of your Interview or filled in on Campus. It includes questions, drawings and an essay. It should only take you approximately an hour to fill in. You will receive the result of your Application on the day of your Student Interview.

 

What are the available Payment Options for the Fees?

We offer three Payment Options for our Full Time Qualifications which exclude the Registration Fee and Equipment Fee.

OPTION A – The fees are paid on or before the 31st of January of the academic year.

OPTION B – Half of the fees are paid on or before the 31st of January and the balance of the fees are paid on or before the 31st of May of the academic year.

OPTION C – The fees are paid in installments of 10 monthly payments from January to October of the academic year.

 

Financial Aid

The Villioti Fashion Institute’s Scholarship Programme awards Bachelor of Fashion Qualification Scholarships from the 2nd year of study to registered students who have achieved academic excellence.

The Villioti Fashion Institute is pleased to award Scholarships to support outstanding candidates according to their academic profile and the institutions belief in their extraordinary potential.

 

What is the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

Villioti Fashion Institute offers 2 types of RPL:

– Access into first-year for applicants older than 23 years with at least five years relevant working experience for those who do not meet the Institutes entrance requirements.

– Exemption from certain subjects/courses for students transferring from another Institution where credits have previously been awarded.

 

What is Villioti Fashion Institute’s Accommodation offering?

We do not offer accommodation however we do have suggestions and guidance of appropriate and safe residence in and around the area for students to view.

 

When do the Short Courses take place?

Short courses are held once a week in the evenings Monday to Thursday from 17:00pm to 21:00pm or on a Saturday from 09:00am to 13:00pm / 13:30pm to 17:30pm.

 

Can I attend more than one Short Course at a time?

Each Short Course is scheduled on a different day which allows students to attend more than one Short Course at a time.

 

When does Registration close for Short Courses?

Registration for Short Courses is open throughout the year. Once we receive 05 deposits from 05 students we begin the next class.

 

On completion of a Short Course what will I receive?

Each student will receive a Certificate if all the requirements for the course are met.
